Cereal for the first time!

At our four month checkup, the doctor told me it was time to start Cal on some cereal.  I was excited/anxious/sad all in the same breath!  I was excited to see her growing up and going onto a new stage in life, but I didn't want to face her getting bigger and not being my precious newborn anymore! Here are a couple pictures and a video of our first experience with cereal!  :)

So Many Changes..

I can't believe it has been over a month since I last blogged!  So much has changed since then!  Caleigh is now sucking her thumb (which we try to prevent as much as possible), rolling on her side, talking like crazy, sitting up with help, standing even better, laughing and the most recent....eating cereal!  I just do not know where these last few months have gone!  I know for sure it is amazing to watch her little mind work as she learns new things.  Last doctor's appointment she was 15 pounds and 5 ounces and was 25 inches long!  I look back at pictures from four months ago and can't believe how much she has changed.  She is becoming her own little person and her face has changed so much!  She used to be this tiny little petite thing, but has the cutest little cheeks!  Unfortunately for her, many people are now saying she is starting to look more and more like me...and I don't know how I feel about this!  We are still contemplating whether to get her ears pierced or not.  I sit on the fence with this issue...should I do it or should I allow her the choice???  It's definitely a difficult decision!  Dad and I went to take Santa pictures and that was an experience!

John is onto his last semester or college and he couldn't be happier!  We are so proud of all he is accomplishing!  We are definitely ready to celebrate in May!  As for me...everything is still the same!  No more college in my future for a long time...if ever!  I am just happy devoting my time to my kids at home and school.

Christmas this year was different...but a good different!  I am so ready to see her face next year when Santa comes to see her!  I hope that she doesn't sleep through the whole thing again next year!  :)  Everyone spoiled Caleigh and I can't wait to see her use all of her new toys and wear her new clothes!

Scout is great!  I think he is still adjusting to not being the center of attention!  He loved last week when Caleigh was at my parents house because it was all about him.  We got him a huge bone for Christmas and he looks silly tryimg to cary it around.

At times I thimk Cal is growing so fast and then she falls asleep in my arms!  And in an instant, my heart melts again!!!  I love cuddling with her!

Did I mention Caleigh went to LolliPops' house for a couple of days before Christmas?!  It was definitely different without her, but it was nice to have some time without our beautiful responsibility!
