Thanksgving...

Our first Thanksgiving was just about perfect...the only thing missing was our little guy!  We left him at home because it was just easier that, but that definitely doesn't mean that we did not miss him!  Thanksgiving truly wasn't complete until John, Caleigh, and I got home to our little guy...whose tail hasn't stop wagging since we got home thirty minutes ago!

The week started out with meeting LolliPops (for those of you who don't know that is what my parent's grandparent names are) in Hearne for dinner!  John and I suggested BBQ, but after driving to the place we knew even if it was open that we wouldn't be eating there!  So, we chose boring old Dairy Queen because well...there aren't a ton of options in Hearne, especially on a Sunday night!  After dinner, Caleigh and I headed to the Double R and John came back home so he could work and go to class!  I will be so happy when retail and college are no longer in our vocabulary!

On Monday, Mom and I took Caleigh to Waco to meet Cari to look for bridesmaids dresses!  We went to three stores and found a couple of options, but Cari ended up picking one from David's Bridal that is absolutely gorgeous!  I just hope I can lose a few more pounds prior to that day!

After we got done having lunch at Newk's...which was very good....with Cari and Clint (I wonder if they'll pick C names for their kiddos...I just came to that while typing this!), we headed back to the Rock and stopped at the Outlet Mall!  We went into Coach and bought Mom her Birthday gift!  We stopped at Carter's and a few other places and then decided it was time to head home.  Well....we got out to the car and couldn't get the emergency break to come lose, so we called Dad and had Aunt Beth come pick us up!  While we waited, we went back to New York & Co and bought a couple of things...okay maybe a few more than a couple!!  :)  We ended up going to dinner with Uncle Bubba and Aunt Jennifer due to the Tahoe's emergency break!  I was very excited about this!!

Tuesday, we got up and went to Target and Wal-Mart and met Dad for lunch.  Then, we went over to Mamaw and Papaw's house and headed home to have fajitas for dinner with Bub and Jen!

On Wednesday, I got up and went to Petco and Sam's while Lolli watched Caleigh (sometimes it's just easier that way)!!!!  Then we went to JCP, Panda Express, back to the Outlet Mall to buy Jen's Christmas gift and take back something.  Then, we headed back to Target and then home to wait on Pops because he hadn't seen much of the little girl due to work and an early bedtime!

John finally got to the house and I was ecstatic!  It was so good to be with him again!  I am a firm believer in distance makes the heart grow fonder!

Dad, John, and I put up a strands of Christmas lights to make sure Dad liked the new LED lights he bought for him and Mamaw and Papaw.  I think that might have been the first year I offered to help...please forgive me for that Pops!  Kellie came over to the house after eating dinner with the family!  Kel and I ended up going to the Rospial's house for a little game night fun!  It was a blast!  I found out that we went to the same elementary school!!!  I can't believe we could have known each other for much longer than we have!  I guess somethings are meant to happen at certain times in our lives.  I am so lucky to have her as my best friend because she is there through the ups and most importantly the downs!  I just adore her and our friendship!

Thursday...Dad, John, and Bubba all went over to Mamaw and Papaw's house to hang Christmas lights for them....a tradition they started a couple of years ago!

Mom and I hung out at the house and prepared the food we were taking to Aunt Beth's.  I stopped by the Kaase's house with Caleigh because I didn't take her the other night and I would have been in the dog house had I not taken her!  Of course....she was fussy the entire time we were there just about!  :(  I absolutely love seeing them interact with Caleigh and showing her the same love they've shown me for twelve years!

It was about time for them to eat, so Caleigh and I headed down the street to Aunt Beth and Uncle Ken's House for our Thanksgiving lunch!  We had a great time with our wonderful family and were missing the other side!

We drove the long way home due to the UT v. A&M game (College Station is the path home), but I was grateful for a change of scenery and not dealing with the madness!  I absolutely love driving the back roads with my hubby and looking at all of the awesome houses and places!  We definitely spend a lot of that time dreaming up our dream house!!!  We finally pulled into our parking place and we were so anxious to put our little family of four back together!

And I'm so disaoppointed because we didn't take a family picture for our first Thanksgiving as a family of four!  :(
